Rock Climbing in Kitchener means two local spots, and they suit very different climbers. Grand River Rocks on Victoria Street North is the full gym, with bouldering, top-rope, lead and auto-belay routes from beginner to expert grades for $30, plus lessons and aerial silks classes. Funvilla on Gage Avenue is a kids' play centre where the climbing walls cost extra on top of $23.99 admission, between the trampolines and the ninja course.
Grand River Rocks Waterloo, 3 km away in Waterloo, is bouldering only, with a moon board and campus boards. The Guelph Grotto, a 24 km drive away in Guelph, adds 45 lead routes and stays open late.
